In that previous case, it wasn't so much that my political views were so strong as it was about the fact that the guest in question, one of my hubby's former military buddies, who is a Libertarian, was <em>living in his mom's basement</em> at the time and working part time jobs while he "found himself" made a comment about needing to eliminate welfare because "All women are basically looking for some way to sit at home and get paid to do nothing. That's why they want to marry guys, that's why they support welfare." As a woman who has rarely worked less than one full time and at least one part time job since getting married, that went over about as well as you might expect. Thanks!!
