So, we have “perception” and “persistence” as super powers so far… very cool, guys.

I would have to say, my gift is the ability to use storytelling tools (metaphor, analogy or parable) or to make complex things make more sense.

My super power is that I don’t give up. If I want to achieve or do something I will find a way, no matter what. That’s not to say that I’m super motivated all the time. I’m often lazy and get downright hostile if someone tries to coerce me into doing something I don’t want to do.

Back in 1997 I saw the movie Without Limits, which is about Steve Prefontaine. He was a world-class distance runner whose coach founded Nike. My two favorites from the film, that are attributed to Steve, were:

“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the Gift.”

and

“I will win because I can take more pain than anyone else.”

I really like his philosophy.
